Career Expo Set April 16

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the third annual Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16 at the Wolens Special Events Center and Gibson Hall on the Navarro College Corsicana campus. The Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce and Navarro College have partnered to promote a multi-county event to enhance the workforce potential in Ellis, Freestone, Leon, Limestone and Navarro counties. Youth Art Show Calls for Entries

The Navarro Council of the Arts is gearing up for the 10th Annual Youth Art Show. This years art show titled, “A View of Navarro County,” is sure to be a hit.

This event is open to all Navarro County students Pre K through 12th grades. Categories are divided by grade levels, elementary, middle school and high school. Savings bonds are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

All art work will be accepted until Friday, April 18 at 3:00 p.m. by bringing it to the Navarro Council of the Arts offices at 108 West 6th Avenue. The opening reception and announcement of winners will take place on Wednesday, April 23, at 4 p.m. at the Warehouse Living Arts Center located at 119 West 6th Avenue. This exhibit will on display until May 23.
